I’m Emily, a Usui Reiki Master Teacher, Celtic Reiki Practitioner, and lifelong musician.

Before any of this, I was living in a VW bus touring around North America playing folk rock. I’ve played in tiny rooms, big rooms, and everything in between, and I’ve watched music crack people open in real time. It lifts spirits, holds grief, softens anxiety. It always felt like more than entertainment to me. It felt like medicine.

Music has always been how I make sense of the world. Over time, I started noticing something deeper happening. Not just emotionally, but physically. People would settle. Their breathing would change. Shoulders would drop. It felt like their bodies were remembering how to exhale.

Then came Reiki.

I had known about it for years, but if I’m being honest, I had a little skepticism about it. Everything shifted when my mom was in hospice care. I experienced Reiki in a way that felt undeniable. It helped her rest, and it brought a sense of peace into the room that is hard to explain unless you’ve been there. Something softened for her, and for all of us. I left that experience knowing I needed to learn this work.

I started training in Palm Springs, California, and later continued in New England with a teacher I’ve known for over twenty years. At the same time, I was deep in corporate life, leading marketing for major entertainment brands.

And I burned out. Not in a dramatic, crash and burn way, but in the quiet, exhausted, going through the motions kind of way that a lot of people know really well.

So I started bringing Reiki and sound into those spaces in small, simple ways. A singing bowl in an office. A short session between meetings. Just a few minutes to pause. And I saw what happened when people slowed down, even briefly. People softened. Breathing deepened. The edge came off. Even the skeptics felt something shift.

That’s when it really clicked for me. This work is not about believing in anything. It is about creating space for your body to reset.

Now, I offer Reiki and sound healing through one on one sessions, group experiences, and workplace offerings. It is a blend of everything I have lived through. Music, energy, grief, burnout, and a deep belief in the quiet, powerful ways we come back to ourselves.

You do not need to be spiritual. You do not need to understand it. You do not need to be good at relaxing.

You just have to show up. We will take it from there.
